Registration fee must be paid in full at the time of registration – $200.00 per student.
FUNDRAISING
NHCS holds various fundraising efforts throughout the school year. We are committed to keeping our tuition costs as reasonable as possible. All families are encouraged to participate in all of our fundraising efforts; however is it not required. As part of our financial policy, tuition amounts are derived based on participation in all our fundraising efforts.
TUITION:
The first tuition payment is due the first day of school in August. Thereafter, payment is due by the fifteenth of each month.

K4 & K5
Classroom & Curriculum Overview
Subjects taught daily in the K4/K5 class include Bible, Handwriting, Math, and Reading. Each student is also monitored to evaluate language development, physical, personal, and social growth, as well as observing work and study habits. A hands-on approach is used in the classroom through the use of daily center time. The school year ends with separate K4 and K5 graduation ceremonies.
K4 & K5 Admission
In order to be eligible for admission into K4, the student must be 4 by August 15th. For K5, the student must be 5 by August 15th. This is in accordance with Tennessee state law.
1st & 2nd Grade
Classroom & Curriculum Overview
Daily subjects for 1st & 2nd Grade include Bible, English, Reading, Spelling, Math, Science, Social Studies, and Handwriting. Students participate in a teacher-driected learning environment each day.
3rd & 4th Grade
Classroom & Curriculum Overview
Daily subjects for 3rd & 4th Grade include Bible, English, Reading, Spelling, Math, Science, Social Studies, and Handwriting. Students are introduced to becoming more responsible for themselves, their work, and begin to work more independently.
5th & 6th Grade
Classroom & Curriculum Overview
Daily subjects for 5th & 6th Grade include Bible, Grammar, Vocabulary, Literature, Math, Science, and Social Studies. Students at this level begin to develop critical thinking skills and continue to gain better study habits and skills to improve independent work and responsibility.
7th & 8th Grade
Classroom & Curriculum Overview
Daily subjects for 7th & 8th Grade include Bible, Grammar, Vocabulary, Literature, Algebra, Science, and Social Studies. Students are prepared to transition into a high school environment. There is an 8th grade graduation ceremony at the end of each school year.
Dress Code
Shirts
NHCS logo polo to be purchased through NHCS. (Contact the office for more information) Long sleeved t-shirts may be worn underneath polo. Accepted colors are white, black, or matching polo colors
Pants
Solid color khaki, black, olive green, gray or navy pants. Girls may also wear capris. (No knit or denim). Belt required only if shirt is tucked into pants. Pants are expected to be fitted. No baggy styles are allowed.
*K4/K5 may wear knit pants
Shorts
Solid color khaki, black, olive green, or navy. Two pocket front and back and cargos permitted (No knit or denim). Shorts should be knee length while standing. Shorts are expected to be fitted. No baggy styles are allowed. ***K4/K5 may wear knit shorts
Skorts
Solid color khaki, black, olive green, gray or navy. Skorts should be knee length while standing.
Outerwear
During class time, light-weight jacket or sweatshirt (with our without hood), no writing other than NHCS logo. Other outerwear items are acceptable during play, but will be required to be taken off inside the class.
P.E.(Grades 5-8 only)
Solid color cotton t-shirt, solid color knit or nylon shorts with no writing other than NHCS logo. (No spandex allowed.) Tennis shoes are REQUIRED on PE days
Shoes
Tennis shoes or dress shoes are permitted. Shoes must be secured to feet.
Chapel Dress
Purple NHCS polo shirt with Khaki pants
Shirt must be tucked in and secured with a belt. (both boys and girls)
K4/K5 may wear elastic waist pants and are not required to wear a belt
Two pocket front and back dress shorts are permitted for chapel for grades K4-4th only
Fridays
NHCS logo t-shirt or Christian t-shirt, denim shorts, pants or regular Monday-Wednesday dress code may be worn on Friday. No baggies, frayed, ripped, cut off or low rider jeans allowed
Hairstyles
Students should maintain modest hair. No mohawks, faux hawks, dinosaur spikes or extreme hair color are allowed. Boys hair must not be below the eyebrow or exceed top of collar.
Tattoos
Tattoos, including washable ones, are not allowed
Piercing
Girls are allowed to have ear piercing only. Piercing is not allowed for boys.
