Vision Statement

New Hope Christian School is a ministry of the body of Christ that will educate children by instilling a Biblical worldview providing Bible-based curriculum and Christian example; that will produce godly citizens filled with God's love, truth, and wisdom.  We will be an instrument in God's hand to carry out the Great Commission in the redemption of the lost world; and we will aid the community by meeting the special needs of students and families as we are gifted and enabled by God to do so.

Three identical sides of the triangle form a solid enclosure.  Each side represents an institution critical to a child's complete upbringing.

1.     HOME -  The first human institution established was the family when God said, "Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife; and they shall be one flesh."  (Genesis 2:24)

Malachi 2:15 a, "Has not the Lord made them one?  In flesh and spirit they are His, and why one?  Because he was seeking godly offspring."  God gave the responsibility of properly training children to parents.  This is made very clear in God's word:  Deuteronomy 6, Ephesians 6, and Colossians 4.  The book of Proverbs is another excellent portion of Scripture that emphasizes the importance of the home in the training of children.  Fathers and mothers must assume the responsibility of making sure that their children are taught the truths of God's word throughout all aspects of life.  Throughout Scripture, God provides clear council on parent/child relationships.  These demonstrate respect, submission, love and honor.

2.     CHURCH -  As local, corporate bodies of believers, Christians are to assemble together for worship, mutual encouragement, the study of God's word, prayer and ministry.  It is in the fellowship of the church that families experience spiritual growth.

3.     SCHOOL -  The child is at the heart of the ministry.  It's in the center of this trinity of home, church and school that the child views the world through the Word of God.  The Word of God is at the foundation of it all.  It is the inspired truth that guides and supports all aspects of home, church and Christian school.  Deuteronomy 6:6-7; "and these words which I command you today shall be in your heart.  You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, when you walk by the way, when you lie down and when you rise up."

The cross in the center is a symbol of our Lord Jesus Christ giving his life for us all; and as our Lord and Savior must be in the center of all aspects of the child's life.

The lion is a symbol of boldness.  With a well-rounded Christian education, the student can face "the real world" as bold as a lion, as our school verse states:  "The wicked flee when no one pursues, but the righteous are bold as a lion."  Proverbs 28:1 (NKJV)
